All About West Essex D.A, The Camping and Caravanning Club and DA. Camping.
West Essex Distict Association, affectionately known as WEDA, is a small section of the Camping and Caravanning Club which was formed in 1962 when the Club decided to split Essex D.A. into two new D.A’s, East Essex and West Essex. We are group of like minded people who take the Camping and Caravanning Club’s motto of the “The Friendly Club” seriously, so you are guaranteed to get a warm welcome whenever you come to one of our rallies!
All our events are open to Camping and Caravanning Club members from across the country and advanced booking is not necessary (unless stated otherwise). If you are not members of the Camping and Caravanning Club, then have a look at the national website, there is a link to it on our link page, and check out the many benefits of membership. It’s wonderful value for money!
We have a full programme of events, that take place throughout the year, so why not take a look at our Rallies page and see what takes your fancy, we would love to have you join us! We will keep you updated about our events, with bulletins on this site, via our entries in the You are Invited and Out and About sections of the Club Magazine and at the Coffee Morning’s we hold on the last day of each of our Rallies.
West Essex D.A and the Youth (CCY)

There is a “Youth Test” that can be taken which show you are able to camp on your own without a parent or guardian being on site with. By passing the youth test you are able to camp on your own at the Regional, National and International youth Rallies and as an added bonus, if you pass the test by your 18th birthday you will continue to enjoy free CCY membership until your 21st birthday.
Please feel free to contact our youth leader if you have any questions or queries regarding the CCY.
